WIW Week 3 :
This weekend was my big birthday celebration. Instead of bringing presents I requested that all guests bring a dessert and we’d have a dessert buffet. I never ate a whole dessert, but I did eat a few bites to 1/2 of every single thing. You know. To be polite.
So quite honestly I wasn’t surprised by this gain.
What I was surprised by was the lady weighing me in at WW and how she kept asking me if I wanted to take off my sweater. Or if I wore jeans last week. I explained to her that it was my birthday weekend and I’m comfortable with this weight gain. She kept pushing. You know lady, it is NOT about the number. It’s about the general direction of the arrow. As long as I’m consistently going down, generally speaking, then it’s all good. That’s why I don’t take into account my clothes or what I ate this morning. Silly that she was encouraging me to take clothes off to move the scale down at all.
But maybe that’s just me. It just seems healthier mentally for me to think this way.
